5 Inspirational Motivational Quotes to be More Productive

inspirational motivational quotes
  1. The speech that motivated an entire nation to support space exploration.

“… We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do other things, not because they are easy but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win…” ~JFK

Seven years after this speech was given… the first man of that century set foot on the moon.

The context in which JFK stated this was on September 12, 1962 on why we choose to go to the moon and why we chose this as our goal. That our intent to progress science could not be deterred and that it was “One of the greatest adventures of all time”.

“That goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills.”

This is a motivational quote that can be applied to every waking moment of your life.

If this could rally and entire nation behind our expedition to space… what could this inspire you to accomplish in life?

The motivation: We don’t do things because they are easy. We do them because they are hard.

  1. Alexander Graham Bell on work

“Concentrate all your thoughts upon the work in hand. The sun’s rays do not burn until brought to a focus.” ~Alexander Graham Bell

It is once you concentrate, focus on the task at hand and work at it… that you begin to see results. Results are created when your focus on something is applied. Those results may sometimes be a failure… but there is no such thing as failure. You have simply learned how not to do something.

The motivation: By maintaining that focus and hard work… you will learn how to do something and a positive result is inevitable.

  1. As a follow up on the former, Winston Churchill on success

“Success is walking from ‘failure’ to ‘failure’ with no loss of enthusiasm.” ~ Winston Churchill

Because those who know how to achieve something, know that it isn’t a special skill that only a select amount of people have… it is something you do with perseverance and learn along the way. This is something anyone can make the choice to do.

The inspiration: Success is a choice that anyone can make. Success is not something to reach for… but something you do.

  1. On things you want to accomplish

You can do anything… but not everything. ~Anonymous

The most common problem that 99.999% of all people have (especially entrepreneurs) is they try to do too much at once. It is good to have many goals and to do many things in life, however, we must learn that other goals can be distractions from the goal we want to accomplish now.

Even those who achieved their goals and do great things in life are guilty of this at some point. But it was through the realization that they must focus their efforts singularly… that they began to achieve what they set out to accomplish.

The motivation: Make a list of all your thoughts on what you want to do. Then accomplish them… focusing on only one task at a time.

  1. Neil deGrasse Tyson on the human brain

“Everything we do, every thought we’ve ever had, is produced by the human brain. But exactly how it operates remains one of the biggest unsolved mysteries, and it seems the more we probe its secrets, the more surprises we find.” ~Neil deGrasse Tyson

Humans are self aware, mostly, but we are not quite sure how our own brains do what they do. The more we discover about our brains… the more questions we have.

Until we discover that, what I found motivational here is that every great accomplishment that we have made, that each individual has made, all started with a single thought.

  • Thousands of years ago we questioned how would we create floating vessels to travel across our world? Today we fly in vessels to the other side of our world in a matter of hours.
  • What if we could take pictures of our own galaxy? We created a way to do it and now we take pictures of planets in other galaxies. Take a minute to fathom that.
  • How do humans coexist and how do we live symbiotically with the planet? Both of these are our greatest challenges right now. We will make a way because that is what we do. Then, that can be added to the list of amazing feats we have accomplished.

We can solve all the problems in our world by asking “how do we make this better” and then creating a way to do it. Ideas that seem unimaginable we can make reality with hard work and ingenuity.

Great ideas that lead to great accomplishments usually starts with “what if” or “how would we” and then we make a way.

The inspiration: Every amazing thing that has been accomplished by humans… was first a single thought and we made it reality.

I love you all. Go out and do great things. Be awesome humans.
